Meet the conjoined twins Abby and Brittany

Meet Abby and Brittany Hensel the amazing conjoined twin who had become a global fascination. The doctor told the twin girls parent that they would not survive very long but they are now 23 years old.The Minnesota twins are the rarest set of dicephalus twins in the world! It is very rare to be born conjoined and even more rare to survive after birth,so the fact that Abby and Brittany is alive and well is a miracle.
 Amazing!more pics below

they have two hearts, two spines joined at the pelvis, four lungs, two oesphagi, three kidney, one ribcage, one liver,a partially shared nervous system, and a shared circulatory  system. From the waist down everything else is shared including the reproductive system, intestines and bladder.Abby the right twin can`t feel anything on the left side of the body while Brittany the left twin can`t feel anything on the right side of the body. They were actually born with three arms, one arm was removed surgically at the time of birth.During their life they have been operated on several times and the twins have remained in good health.Despite the fact the twins can only feel half of the body they share, they are still able to type, play piano, bowl, play volleyball, ride a bicycle, play softball and swim etc.
